Meet Our Staff

Mr. Michael & Ms. Lindsey- Studio Directors

Mr. Michael and Ms. Lindsey are Maryland born and raised. They have a daughter, who you may know as "Ms. Kenzie", and four dogs- that all five keep them on their toes.

Michael has worked at the studio for 20 years in various positions. When he started he was a birthday party assistant. Over time he became a gymnastics instructor and now, in addition to his co-director role is the Program Director for both our Ninja and Gymnastics programs. Michael is Level 2 Certified through Ninja Sports International and is looking forward to completing additional certifications soon!

Lindsey has been working at the studio for 12 years. She spent 7 of those years as the receptionist/studio manager. During her time at the studio she also earned her degree in Nursing. Lindsey is a “people person” -she truly loves her interactions with you all every week!

When they aren’t at the studio you can find them on the pickleball court, at the beach, hiking local trails, or just spending time with their friends and family. They also love Baseball (Go Nats!!) and Football (they agree to disagree on their teams there).

Ms. Dawn- Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary

Ms. Dawn and her family live in Southern Calvert County. She is a stay-at-home mom and grandmom who has been homeschooling for 20 years. Ms. Dawn's love and passion for dance began when she was 14 years old in high school. She took dance classes and was Captain of the Pom Squad, which gave her her first experiences with choreographing dances. Her love for dance continued to grow each year. After high school she attended Anne Arundel Community College, where she continued to dance while pursuing an AA degree in General Studies. She performed on A.A.C.C.'s Dance Company with an amazing dance teacher who encouraged her in her dancing. After receiving her degree at A.A.C.C. she transferred to U.M.B.C where she received her BA in Visual and Performing Arts with a concentration in Dance. After graduating from U.M.B.C, she interviewed with Ms. Sharon and has been teaching here ever since. Ms. Dawn is starting her 27th year of teaching at our studio. She has taught dancers from the ages of 2 all the way up to 18, and even some adults.

When she's not in the studio, her family loves spending time on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or doing pretty much anything outdoors! She and her husband own a small commercial crabbing business, Tide Runner Crabs, so you can also find her out on the water. She also has a cat, Leo and dog, Scout.

Ms. Yolanda- Ballet, Tap, Jazz

Ms. Yolanda has been teaching at the studio since 2016. Her favorite dance memories include choreographing for The College of Southern Maryland and taking master classes at Wolf Trap and The Kennedy Center with the amazing Suzanne Farrell. She has taken numerous other certifications and classes in her dance career in all genres including classroom management.

Ms. Yolanda lives in Leonardtown with her husband and two children, ages 8 and 5. She loves spending time with her family, crafting, baking and hanging out at the beach. You can find her on Calvert County beaches hunting for shark teeth in her spare time! Yolanda continues to make the drive to the studio because she can't picture herself teaching anywhere else; the lasting friendships and the opportunity to watch future dancers find their passions for the art of dance keep her coming back.

Ms. Sarah- Ballet, Tap, Jazz

Ms. Sarah has been working at the studio for 5 years, lead teaching for 3! She's danced her whole life, and at Sharon's since she was 8. She is currently a senior at St. Mary's College of Maryland, majoring in English, and takes part in their dance club. Currently she choreographs jazz and contemporary for the club, and will be performing in contemporary, poms, and tap! In past semester, she performed contemporary and hip hop as well. She loves to try new things and learn new skills, especially when it comes to dance.

When Ms. Sarah is not on campus, you'll likely find her studying at SMCM, reading, or dying her own (or her friends') hair! Ms. Sarah also has 2 cats, Mischief and Mayhem, a dog, Betty, and a rat, Percy. Despite her busy college schedule, Ms. Sarah dedicates her weekends to the studio, loving every second of teaching dance and helping new dancers find their love for the art that brought her all her closest friends.

Ms. Kayla- Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Gymnastics

Ms. Kayla is in her 10th year working at the studio. She started dancing at Sharon's when she was 3 and that turned into her working here. She loves that she gets to teach at the same place that holds such a special place in her heart. Ms. Kayla also works at Grace Lutheran Church and School in their Extended Care Program where she works with mostly 2's and 3's! Kayla has taken courses in jazz, hip hop, technique and classroom management. She is also level 1 certified through Ninja Sports International.

When Ms. Kayla isn't at work you can find her on the couch reading, binge watching a tv series, or on the pickleball court. She also enjoys watching sports and cheering on the Nationals, Capitals, and Steelers!
